Fabulous way to enjoy the outdoors, support wildlife and learn something all at the same time. You’re never “too old” for the zoo!

We had so much fun! We will definitely be back again! The safari is much more bigger. Their souvenir shops have different varieties of stuffed animals.

Both the Zoo and safari experience is great! Each will take you all day if you want to take your time and explore everything. A little pricey but worth it.

We loved the zoo. We took the free tour bus an sky tram. It was very clean nd not too busy. My main issue was in trying to read the maps and signposts. It was obvious many of us were having the same issue.🤔

Such a beautiful place to take the grandchildren. Weather was perfect and the views are spectacular. So much to see and do, you could spend several days here. Always recommend coming on weekday mornings, so it won't be as crowded. Safari park is always worth the extra bucks!

Very enjoyable! The regular zoo is fantastic. Didn’t like that we had to take an Uber 40 miles away to the Safari Park. Thought it was all connected. But the Safari zoo was worth the trip. Enjoyed the day!

Never got to the Safari park . But got to see the Zoo a very bad experience was not pleased at all I really wanted my money bad . No one told us that the Safari was 45 min away . That what we really wanted to experience.

We loved everything about the San Diego Zoo. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The landscaping is extremely beautiful! The weather couldn't of been better. They offer tons of shaded area! Handicap accommodations were top notch

Great place to visit, split the map in half, went 2 mornings for about 3 to 4 hours each.. To much to see in one day. Great place, we also went in weekdays..

Amazing! Now we know why it is listed as one of the top zoos in the world. Not only were there so many unique animals, but the zoo makes it a point to make your experience as wonderful as possible by providing food to the animals in optimal viewing spots-I’ve taken the best, most close up photos of these amazing animals. The park is so clean, easily accessible, and so many snack stations and bathrooms are readily available. The staff is also so kind and eager to make your experience the best. I highly recommend taking the free trolly tour-gives you a broad idea of the park layout and some interesting information regarding the animals. This zoo is also a leader in research and conservation, so by buying tickets, you are also helping this effort… it’s a win/win… we will def be coming back! The safari was also amazing-we upgraded our experience which was def worth it-we took a safari truck to a large enclosure housing rhinos, giraffes, Gazelles, wildebeests, etc with no gate separating us-it was an up close encounter with amazing information from our tour guide. So if your time in SD is limited and you want to see both parks, I would recommend going to the zoo first (it’s def an all day event) and then going to the safari with an upgraded experience-many of the animals that were at the safari were also at the zoo. After our upgraded experience, we just picked a handful of animals we wanted to see so we ended up spending a half day at the safari. And FYI-the safari houses the only Platypus in a zoo in the world!
